PSMLA Refund Policy
PSMLA recognizes that unforeseen circumstances sometimes arise that may prohibit attendance at a PSMLA event. PSMLA incurs charges (such as for catering, materials, and space) based upon the number of registered attendees—even if they do not attend—and often well in advance of the event date. As a non-profit organization, our funds are dedicated to serving our members and to fulfilling our mission.
Refunds for In-person Events
- PSMLA will not issue full or partial refunds after the regular registration deadline unless otherwise stated in registration materials.
- Refunds are not possible during a final, last call, late, extended, or similarly termed registration period or once registration has closed.
- Contact the event chairperson prior to the regular registration deadline to request a refund to the original form of payment.
- Membership fees, including those that are a portion of a non-member rate, are non-refundable.
Cancellation Vouchers for In-person Events
- After the deadline for a refund has passed, PSMLA members who notify the event chairperson at least three (3) days prior to the start of the event of an emergency that prevents their attendance may request a cancellation voucher. Note that the event start date includes any pre-conference or similar activities, regardless of the dates on which the member registered to attend.
- This non-transferable voucher expires one year from the date of issuance and may be applied to a PSMLA-organized event fee, membership, or other PSMLA product.
- The voucher functions as a coupon code and can only be used for online payment.
- Those who cancel with less than three (3) days’ notice are not eligible for a voucher.
- Non-members are not eligible for a cancellation voucher.
- Presenters are not eligible for a cancellation voucher.
- Membership fees, including those that are a portion of a non-member rate, are not included in the cancellation voucher value.
- If a refund or cancellation voucher is requested for an event paid for with a cancellation voucher, the value of the original voucher will be deducted from the refund or new voucher amount.
Refunds for Online Events
- PSMLA will not issue full or partial refunds or cancellation vouchers after the start time of an online event.
- Contact the event chairperson prior to the event to request a refund to the original form of payment.
- Membership fees, including those that are a portion of a non-member rate, are non-refundable.
- Unless otherwise stated, recordings are not shared with registrants who do not attend the event.
Other Refunds
PSMLA does not issue refunds or vouchers for any other products or services. This includes membership; advertising, exhibiting, and sponsorship fees; and certificate and honor cord purchases.
